The National Zoological Park (originally Delhi Zoo or Chidiya Ghar) is located near the Old Fort in Delhi.  It was built in 1957. Its a good picnic spot for family. The zoo is known to be the shelter of more than 1200 reptiles, mammals and birds.

A 16th-century citadel, an amazing range of flora and fauna and a large collection of animals and birds. Deers, Lions, Elephants, White Tigers, Giraffe, Rhinoceros, Leopard cat, Black Buck are some of the commonly found animals here.
